On February 27th, Ningbo Xu, the Party Secretary of Wuhu City, and Mayor Zhi Xu held a working meeting with Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Germany's Schaeffler Group, to witness the signing ceremony of the "Schaeffler Intelligent Drive Powertrain and Electric Drive Product Leap Project" in Wuhu Economic Development Zone. Other attendees included Tongyue Yin, Party Secretary and Chairman of Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd.; Christophe Hannequin, CFO of Schaeffler Group; Yulin Zhang, CEO of Schaeffer China; Xiufang Wei, leader from Wuhu City; and Ting Wang, Vice President of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd.

Ningbo Xu expressed that Anhui's automotive industry is currently experiencing robust growth. As a deputy central city within Anhui Province, Wuhu focuses on expanding its new energy and intelligent connected vehicle sector, fully supporting Chery's international market expansion, and accelerating the construction of an integrated auto industry ecosystem covering vehicles, components, and after-sales markets. Schaeffler, being a globally leading supplier in automotive and industrial sectors with profound technological accumulation, is expected to deepen the trilateral cooperation among Wuhu, Chery, and Schaeffler, promoting more collaborative achievements.

Klaus Rosenfeld stated that Wuhu is a very charming city and an important manufacturing hub, showing promising development trends in recent years. It plays a significant role in Schaeffler’s industrial layout. He hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, forming long-term partnerships with Wuhu and Chery to jointly explore international markets, achieving mutual benefits and win-win development.
